Shawqi holds two degrees (dental and medical degree). After qualifying in 1998, he has worked in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery units across Ireland, U.K. He has been awarded with the prestigious membership of Royal College of Surgeons of England and Ireland, and with a Fellowship in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland. He received his Diploma in Dental implant from the Royal College of surgeons of Edinburgh and  obtained his medical degree from Barts and the London University. He is a clinical mentor for the Diploma in Minor Oral Surgery for the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is the owner of Mulberry Clinics. His area of expertise is to carry out complex oral surgery and dental implant procedures such as immediate implant placement and loading, full mouth rehabilitation, Zygomatic and Pterygoid implants.
